Many a times we see that there are posters and advertisements given on the Television and various other sources that there is a clearance sale for particular products. Many people feel that the products or the articles sold in the clearance sale may or may not be good, but this is absolutely a wrong thinking. The articles and products sold on the final clearance sales are also absolutely beautiful and good. Some of the final clearance articles on sale these days are the dog accessories. While I was going through the internet to collect the information about the latest dog accessories, then I also came across that there is a final clearance sale on many dog products. After I gathered some more details I decided that I will place an order for the Blue Bell Designer Dress and Hair Bow for my little princess puppy. She would really look lovely in this dress. I did not want to miss the opportunity to buy this dress because it was mentioned that there are dresses in limited quantity of this particular design.
I always wanted something unique for my little princess and I try that what ever I buy for her should be praised and appreciated by one and all and she should be the center of attraction always. In fact I have so many articles and toys for her and all are unique and beautiful. She is my only companion in this world as I have no one else in my life and so I always pamper her as if she is my child and obviously if I had one I would pamper her also like my sweet little princess. Just the day after I received this fabulous Blue Bell Designer Dress, I had to attend my friends’ daughter’s wedding. So I dressed my sweet little princess with this beautiful attire. This dress was in a pastel blue color designed with a chiffon style skirt elegantly spread over the surface additionally decorated with flower pointing with the delicate bright material. The collar was placed with three flower rosettes which gave an elegant and a decent look which was further lined with matching satin ribbon with a complete perfection to look more beautiful. An adjustable Velcro finishing was given for the ease and a satin ribbon was given which could be tied around the tummy. The main attraction of the dress was the satin bow which was decorated very stylishly. Moreover this bow was sewn and not glued to the dress. The material used to complete this dress was of good quality and I was the happiest person to see my lovely princess dressed in a stylish way. She had indeed become the center of attraction that day when she was walking in a well-dressed manner with me. I had also bought a matching pair of shoes for her and also a beautiful cap which was also blue in color and my charming princess even won the prize because she was the only one dressed so beautifully.
For as long as i can remember, clay based cat litter was the standard
For as long as I can remember, clay based cat litter was the standard. Clay based cat litter was always inexpensive and reasonably effective. The trick was to keep the nasty bits scooped out and change the litter at a reasonable interval. When to change the litter was fairly easy to figure out since the clay would absorb only so much urine. Several cats I have had the pleasure to own over the years were not shy about telling when they thought it was time to clean the litter box.
Prior to the introduction of clay cat litter, owners of inside cats relied on a wide variety of materials. Shredded newspaper, sand, and even plain dirt served the purpose but had some obvious drawbacks. None of these materials was very absorbent and needed to be changed often. As any owner of an inside cat will tell you, controlling the inevitable order from the cat box was difficult.
As with most product inventions and improvements, the inventor was responding to a need. The introduction of what came to be commonly known as kitty litter was not much different. Introduced in the late nineteen forties, clay based cat litter changed the way people, and cats, thought about controlling cat waste. Compared to other soil types, the composition of clay soil makes it naturally absorbent. In its natural state, clay has a very high moisture content, sometimes to the point of saturation. Now this hardly sounds like a substance that would make a great filler for the cat box.
What makes clay based cat litters work is what happens between the time the clay is collected and when it lands in the litter box. Raw clay would be dried, usually in a hot kiln. The process of kiln drying and baking is used in the production of clay pottery and the drying of milled timber. Baking the clay removes a significant amount of moisture. As water is removed from the clay, the volume shrinks and what remains is a substance that is once again capable to absorbing moisture. Its as simple as that and an entire industry sprang up around that one simple fact.
So for almost fifty years, clay based cat litter ruled the cat box. Along the way, attempts were made to add odor control ingredients, including aftermarket products. Since cat urine would turn mildly acidic over time, many folks would combine simple baking soda with the clay litter. The baking soda acted to change the Ph of the urine, neutralizing the acid and reducing odor. Other aftermarket products used combinations of various chemicals, including perfumes and odor neutralizers. These products were easy to use and were just sprinkled into the litter.
Just as we thought the science of cat litter had reached its zenith, along comes scoopable litter. It clumped, it lumped and turned the undesirable chore of cleaning the cat box into something almost bearable. Loaded with deodorizers, this unique product remained in granulated state until being used by the cat. The granules adhere to the urine and feces, encapsulating it in a clump. Using a common litter scoop, the waste is easily removed, leaving the clean litter behind.
The convenience of scoopable cat litter does come with a price. While clay based litter is relatively inexpensive, some brands of scoopable litter can be pricey. The added expense is mitigated somewhat since less scoopable litter is needed to keep the litter pan clean. Still, there are some cat owners who are concerned about the chemicals used to in the production of scoopable cat litter.
In response to some of those concerns, a market has sprung up for scoopable cat litter that uses natural enzymes to control odor. New brands of natural litter stress the low dust and absence of strong chemical deodorizers. Clay is a very rugged substance and will not break down.
Without clay as a base, producers of natural cat litter advertise their products as biodegradable and even flushable. While filling the local sewer system with used cat litter would not be my first disposal choice, it is nice to know that it will breakdown naturally.
Our four furry kids we’ve got four
Our Four Furry Kids
We’ve got four…that’s right…four…dogs. Three Maltese and one Australian Shepherd mix. Three of the four are rescue dogs. Just one of the Maltese was purchased from a breeder, and that was during a grieving period immediately after the death of another Maltese. So, we are dog lovers, that’s for sure. Maybe we take it to extremes, because when we travel, we have a dog sitter come in and stay at the house. Not only do the dogs feel more comfortable, but it is actually less expensive than boarding them all.
They all have been given toys of every shape and size imaginable. The Australian Shepherd doesn’t like any toy, furry, vinyl or rubber. He only cares for the leather bones with the infused “meat” strips. We’ve had the youngest Maltese for just over a year. We rescued her from a puppy mill where she was one of the breeding females. I guess she’s about five years old now, and we haven’t been able to interest her in any toys except for a smaller version of the leather chews that the Shepherd likes. The next oldest Maltese doesn’t care for furry toys, but has this old raggedy, green vinyl “hamburger” (I think from Zanies) that she loves. I’ve been all over the internet, and can’t find another so we hope that it’s good for the duration.
The Vicious Old Lady
The eldest Maltese is ten and a half years old. The only, and I mean only, toy she would play with is a “carrot man” we found at a pet supply store. It’s a furry, gold carrot, about six inches long with a squeaker. Her life’s goal is to see how many of these she can destroy by tearing them apart and triumphantly pulling out the squeaker! As I was cleaning up the stuffing from the latest carrot man carnage, I saw these Crazy Critters advertised on TV. I usually tune out the As Seen On TV promos, but when I saw the dog tearing the stuffing out of the pillow, I became interested.
It’s Crazy Critter Time
There are two Crazy Critters; each about 24 inches long. One is a fox and the other is a raccoon. They are plush dog toys without the stuffing and are practically indestructible. They lie flat on the floor so it’s easy for the dog to pick up, and have squeakers at each end. I figured that one of these days, they’re going to quit making “carrot man”, so I’d better try and find a substitute now. Besides, cleaning up the stuffing is a chore I can do without, and constantly replacing the carrot man is something that isn’t budgeted.
So, I parted with the $24 bucks and ordered. When the Crazy Critters came in, we sort of snaked the fox across the floor in front of her. At first, she just sort of cocked her head and processed the new intruder. Then, she pounced…grabbed it…shook it…and took it to her bed for the ritual gutting. However, as hard as she tried, the Crazy Critter withstood the onslaught and remained intact. Then, she discovered the squeakers, and was in heaven. Now, she carries it around with her as a constant buddy. What’s neat is that the Maltese from the puppy mill has adopted the raccoon, and has a ball playing with it. It’s nice to see your kids having fun!
There are many different types of parrot breeders available and all offer different breeds of parrots
There are many different types of parrot breeders available and all offer different breeds of parrots. Like everything you have the chance to purchase parrots from online breeders or offline breeders, depending on where you live. This article will endeavor to explain every question there is about parrot breeding and parrot breeders as well.
Online Parrot Breeders
How do I find parrot breeders online? How do I know if they are reputable or not? These are some of the questions I get asked a lot. Basically it’s extremely easy to find a parrot breeder online. All you have to do is run a search on one of the search engines, using the following information corresponding to your search, “parrot breeders “town or city of choice””. This information will bring up a list of the top breeders online. Now all you have to do is sift through the list and find the most appropriate one for you. Basically most breeders online are going to be reputable, but just to be sure, make sure you are able to give them a phone call and I would recommend talking to them in person before you decide to make a purchase.
Essentially you are looking for a parrot breeder in your area that will allow you to come and check out the parrots he or she has available. Also many breeders will actually deliver the parrots to your doorstep but I wouldn’t recommend doing this. It’s best if you go in person to check out the parrots they have available first and then make your decision from there.
Offline Parrot Breeders
Basically offline parrot breeders are just breeders that don’t advertise online so you won’t be able to find them by running a search on the internet. The best way to find one of these breeders is to contact the local national wildlife center and ask them if they know of any parrots breeders in the area. In many cases there are small time breeders who believe it or not generally have the best parrots available, due to the fact they are so passionate about what they do. Also you should be able to purchase a parrot for much cheaper then if you went through a more commercial breeder.
Things To Be Wary Of
Some of the things you have to be careful of include, making sure the parrot breeder is 100% reputable. You have to make sure you know where the parrots are coming from because in many cases, people have been sold a parrot that has come from the black market. This is just one of the things that is turning people away from purchasing parrots and needs to be addressed as soon as possible. The only type of parrot that should be kept in captivity is a parrot that was born in captivity and doesn’t have the ability to make it in the wild. Black market parrot trading is wrong and should be condemned.
